Apple Raisin Chutney

Apple Raisin Chutney
This is a special treat to serve with pork, duck, or turkey. Easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 months or canned.
Servings: 3 cups
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Granny Smith Apples peeled and chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper seeded and chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh ginger minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- a pinch red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Combine everything in a large stainless steel or enamel saucepan.
- Bring to a boil while stirring frequently. Boil gently for 40 minutes while stirring occasionally.
