Chocolate Bunny Cake
This eggless cake has been a favorite for decades and irresistible when served with warm fudge frosting.

- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 2 cups cold water
Fudge Frosting
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend together the dry ingredients - down to the baking soda.
Mix together the vanilla, vinegar, oil and water and mix well.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients together and blend just until mixed.
Pour in 9 x 13 pan and bake 30 - 40 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.
Frost while still warm.
Fudge Frosting
Mix together in a small saucepan the butter, milk, and sugar. Cook on medium low heat until it begins to lightly boil. Cook for 1 minute more and remove from the heat.
Add chocolate chips and vanilla and beat until smooth. Pour warm frosting over warm cake and allow frosting to set before serving. Or not! :)
