Layered Ice Cream Dessert

This is so simple to make. Make ahead and keep in the freezer until you are ready to serve. Use your imagination to create yummy variations! It uses 1 package Oreo cookies.

Ingredients

Bottom Layer

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 30 Oreo cookies crushed

Layer 2

  • 1 jar Hot fudge topping warmed

Layer 3

  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream softened

Layer 4

  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 8 Oreo Cookies crushed

Instructions

Bottom Layer

  • Crush approximately 30 Oreo cookies. Mix with melted butter.
  • Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Chill.

Layer 2

  • Open a 1/2 gallon brick of vanilla ice cream, softened. Cover the bottom layer with slices of softened vanilla ice cream pressing together to form second layer. Freeze.

Layer 3

  • Heat hot fudge sauce in microwave until pourable. Pour over Layer 2 spreading to cover well. Refreeze.

Layer 4

  • Top with 8 ounces of thawed Cool Whip and the remaining crushed Oreos (approximately 8).
  • Chill for an hour or two until set.
  • Thaw for 10 minutes before serving.
